Uniting for Good: Community Uniting becomes an official program of FCCP

The Franklin County Coalition for Progress (FCCP) is excited to announce that Community Uniting has officially become a program of FCCP.

Since its founding in 2017, Community Uniting has inspired connection and understanding by

bringing people together across faiths, races, genders, perspectives, and backgrounds. Through acts of kindness, service, education, and dialogue, the organization has created opportunities for neighbors to build relationships and strengthen our community.

At FCCP, we believe that differences are strengths and opportunities, and that every person deserves to be welcomed, respected, and treated with dignity. Community Uniting's mission and values closely align with our own, making this partnership a natural next step.

As part of FCCP, Community Uniting will continue to operate under its volunteer steering committee while benefiting from the resources and support of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This partnership will allow the program to grow its educational events, service projects, and community-building initiatives while expanding fundraising and grant opportunities to sustain its work for years to come.

Community Uniting has already made a meaningful impact in Franklin County—from hosting community conversations and kindness initiatives to supporting refugee families and operating the SHaRe Program, which has provided thousands of meals to healthcare workers, educators, unhoused neighbors, and refugee families.

Together, FCCP and Community Uniting share a common vision: a flourishing Franklin County where everyone is welcomed, differences are valued, and communities are strengthened through understanding, compassion, and action.
